How do I use the coupon?

           After you have finished your shopping and before checking out you will see a box on the bottom right side of the screen. Click with your mouse once in the box and then type all lower case d55001 and then you will see the discount applied on the invoice and then you can continue to check out.

Techniques for the Month of April:

#1) For machines with a width 6.0mm or wider

Machine Settings:

Foot Pressure:      Lightest Setting

Thread Tension:    2-3 Numbers less than normal

Stitch Pattern:       Zigzag

Stitch Width:        1.0mm

Stitch Length:       Satin stitch setting .03-.05

Needle to use:      Triple (narrow)

Thread to use:      Decorative (3 spools matching or contrasting)

Needle Position:   Center

Foot To Use:        Satinedge

1)    Attach the Satinedge foot to your machine.

2)    Lower the foot.

3)    Adjust the guide pin inside the zigzag opening so that the center needle clears the pin in both the left and right swing of the zigzag stitch.

Effect: You will see that your machine will form 3 zigzag stitches the 2 on the outside will sit lower than the one in the middle.

Uses: Edge Stitching, Top Stitching or as an accent randomly placed on project.

#2) Fancy hair barrette

With wrong sides together, fuse fabric/s of choice together. Use fabric pieces larger than the pattern below.

  1. Cut out fused fabrics to shape.

  2. Use the Satinedge foot.

  3. Sew a satin stitch around the oval.

  4. Use the Pearls ‘N Piping foot.

  5. Sew narrow 2mm beads around edge so that the beads are off the edge of the satin stitch.

  6. Use the gathering with beads technique to gather across center of oval with the same size bead.

  7. Be sure that the fabric doesn’t gather too much it should measure 4” once gathered.

  8. Be sure to secure the beginning and end of beads.

  9. Glue with hot glue gun or strong fabric glue to blank 4” barrette.
